Visit the historic center (2km or 5 mins with a car) with its picturesque streets, museums (Archaeological, Folklore, Military, Benakeio Archaeological Museum, Traditional Costume Museum etc.), Venetian Castle and traditional taverns.
Kalamata has many large beaches (sandy and pebbly) that will satisfy even the most demanding visitor.
The city's international airport is 8km far. Enjoy your swim in the lacy beaches of Almyros (7km), Mikri Mandineia (9km), Paliohora (11km), Akrogiali (12km), Santova (13km) and Kitries (16km) with the picturesque harbor on a lovely seaside route with many more anonymous beaches, with cafes, fish taverns and bars for nightlife. On a daily tour, you will find the characteristic seaside villages of Mani, Kardamili (37km), Stoupa (43km), , Kalogria (43km) and Pantazi (48km). Very well equipped home with a nice veranda in a calm environment. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Messini and Nestor’s palace one hour by car.

We had a very nice stay. The apartment ist well-equipped and close to the beach as well as to a bakery and a supermarket. The owners are very friendly and always willing to help. They also gave us produce from their garden.
