Visitors are welcome to visit the Sticna Abbey (5-minute walk), the oldest monastery in Slovenia.

The abbey has a well-known herbal pharmacy as well as pretty gardens. The area is famous for its vineyards, which provide many wine-tasting opportunities.

The city of Novo Mesto (35 minutes), on a curve of the Krka River, makes a fascinating day trip.

Visitors can enjoy exploring the Medieval streets and main square.
