The neighborhood is bordered by Cours Georges Clémenceau and Place Tourny, forming the prestigious Golden Triangle with Place de la Comédie, Place des Quinconces, and the Grand Théâtre. Nearby, the Place des Grands Hommes, a neoclassical quarter, reflects the new urban vision that emerged after the French Revolution.
