Bournemouth is well served with public transport so you can easily explore the area by bus, train or on foot or why not hire a beryl bike or electric scooter! You may not venture far with so much to do on the doorstep, however if you are looking to explore the wider area, head east to take a day trip to the new forest, famous for its wild roaming ponies, donkeys and, during the annual pannage, pigs too! The New Forest is ideally explored by foot or on bike and can be easily reached by train.
If you head west from Bournemouth you will find the stunning Jurassic coastline of west Dorset that stretches to Devon and is home to idyllic, picture postcard coastal towns and villages along with some stunning coves and bays.
