Renovated traditional house in the heart of the charming village of Aydius, perched on a sunny slope in the Aspe Valley.
Access via steps or a ramp (suitable for strollers and rolling suitcases) leads to a private 24 m² terrace overlooking the street, with views of the mountains (Pic de Bergon).
Hiking trails start from here, leading to Lake Montagnon, a heart-shaped gem of the Pyrenees – a must-see!
Ground floor:
- Fully equipped kitchen with wood-burning stove (microwave and oven, 4-burner gas cooktop, 180-liter refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher).
- Large living room with lounge area (TV, fiber optic Wi-Fi, small Bluetooth speaker) opening onto a terrace
- Shower room (washing machine, shower, sink, toilet)
First floor:
- 3 bedrooms (2 double beds, 1 single bed)
- Bathroom (bathtub and shower, toilet)
Second floor (attic):
- Mezzanine (ladder-style ladder) with 1 single bed
The beds are made up for your arrival, and Paulette welcomes you with her delicious garbure (cabbage and bean soup).
Gas heating is available at an extra cost (€8/day). Firewood is available at an extra cost (€15/stay). Garden furniture.
Private barbecue. Free parking in the village, 30m away. Trout fishing in the Gabarret, a stream below the village, in the Cazaubon district.
Goat cheese is available for purchase from local farmers. The cottage is attached to the owners' house.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille à Aydius.Gîte spacieux, avec trois belles chambres et une mezzanine pour (grand) enfant. Le gîte est bien équipé et très propre.Un réel plaisir de séjourner dans ce petit village de montagne, avec une vue incroyable et des balades qui partent du village.

Gîte très bien placé ( à l’entrée du village et près de la fontaine )et d’une propreté irréprochable. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très attentionnés… nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison, avec une vue inégalée sur le mont Bergeon .

Quel bonheur de venir dans ce gîte, propre, confortable ou les propriétaires sont à l'écoute, attentifs, disponibles tout en restant discrets. Tout est réuni pour passer un séjour eceptionnel. Après la solitude de cette pandémie c'est un vrai bonheur de remettre l'humain au centre des relations. Merci Paulette et Jean.
